4th of July Strawberry Gingerade!
I don't know about you, but 4th of July BBQ's can have a lot of things I don't want to put into my body - because I care about it so much!
This delicious, sweet and spicy drink is only 10 calories per serving and so tasty! Strawberries are not just Summery and delicious, they are bonafide superfood, too! Their nutrient rich and packed with antioxidants like Vitamin C. As a Fitness professional and athlete I can't get enough ginger in my nutrition! It contains a substance called Gingerol, which has medicinal purposes by of its powerful anti inflammatory properties. It's been proven to help with DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) by reducing inflammation and pain. It can also help with osteoarthritis. Ginger is fantastic for morning sickness and general nausea if your pregnant or have a sensitive GI...Not to mention anything you add it to immediately becomes more delicious! :)
4 Inches fresh peeled ginger
4 Fresh Strawberries
1 Tbsp Lemon Zest
Sweeten to taste with your fav calorie free sweetener
This renders eight, 8oz servings, so multiply ingredients by 2 or 3 if you're taking this to a BBQ!
Add Fresh ingredients and 4 cups water to blender or food processor, and blend until smooth. Add The rest of your water and ice cubes and a delicious lean body friendly treat!
